As Am Yisrael, "Kol Yisrael areivim zeh bazeh" – we are all fundamentally and constantly responsible for one another. We must reject the "somebody else will help" mentality, especially concerning the families of those who fell defending us. The Torah (Vayikra 25:35) commands us to immediately strengthen our struggling brothers, prioritizing our own community and family. This absolute obligation is an ongoing, personal commitment of money, time, and skills (gemilut chasadim), ensuring these families lack nothing, not just during a crisis, but every day.
